I haven't been updating but I've been so busy with work, it's crazy. Anyways, this is a new shoot after a long period of time. I don't know whether it's any good but I feel like it has something this time. It's actually my first couple shoot? (Hahah there's always a first) and the models are not a couple but they do seem like it hey? :D

I finally have pictures for you guys! The theme was, calling. The location was at Brompton Cemetery in London and it's a wonderful place. It's also under one of the Royal Parks of London. Amazing place with amazing people. As you know, this is my first shoot with foreign models and also another shoot at a foreign place. I am very blessed at the moment. Truly blessed with beautiful scenery and beautiful friends. Here are the pictures for teasers, the rest will be uploaded at the gallery.

My best friend and I actually did a photoshoot together :) So the theme was colourful and sweet! A balloon teaparty which I had so much fun honestly. We actually did three shoots that day. This was taken in the morning. Our very first one. Which I absolutely love :D

Spontaneous Shots: Sunday Mornings

My friend Sue Lyn woke me up on a Saturday to do this shoot. This shoot definitely was an awesome one. Something to definitely keep my mind occupied. Sick and rough weeks are not the best combination yet. I promise you I'll be able to update this blog soon enough. From now onwards, I'll be actually charging people for photoshoots. I want to actually, still in the process of how much I would charge them. I'll be updating the gallery soon enough! But here are some sneak previews.

After a much await, another spontaneous shoot! I was bored and my lovely friend Wei Lyn decided to help out with this. I must say, even for a shoot with minimal planning, it's one of my favourites. I absolutely prepared nothing for it. Well only the excitement and the fact that lunch was really good. Overall, enjoy the pictures!

Behind the Scenes: Sonata Horror

The night before, I was painting props, making them. Painful work but it turned out so pretty. And during the shoot, I was pretty happy with the outcome. I went to Sunway to pick Jules and we went straight back to my house so that she could start on her make up. The boys came after that and Amanda came later. They worked on their make up like crazy and yeah I didn't have pictures for that but still you get the point. We went to the shooting location and we started setting up everything.

We shot around 4.30 to 6. Approximately like 1 and a half hour?

The sun was really getting to us but we had so much fun :) At least, I had fun :D

The sun was pretty though :)

Well we played around with the leaves :P

My boyfriend shot most of the shots here :) He shot this too. DRAGONBALL!

We fooled around and for some reason it's really hilarious.

I obviously have no comment. Deadmau5!

She wanted to pose as Marilyn Monroe but she ended up saying she wanted to pose as Monalisa. HAHAHAH.

Well that's about it for now! I'll be doing some miscellaneous shots for the time being. I have a great hint for my next big project for all of you guys! Yes, this upcoming one is actually pretty tedious and I need big planning for this. Like seriously big planning. It's gonna be done around August. So be prepared. Whoever is interested in the participating the shot please please please tell me!

Remember I said I had a photoshoot on Saturday requested by my friends? Here are the pictures! She wanted to do a happy theme and unfortunately, we didn't have enough balloons but whatever it is, they had fun and I had fun. Thank you guys for being my model and tell your grumpy friend (oops) for the ride. I miss you guys :( Hope we can have another reunion again!

Why red umbrella? It was the most dominant figure in the shoot and I somehow find that very alluring.

Behind the Scenes: War Photoshoot

So let the scenes began! I was waiting at home like a hobo (lol) And honestly, I was just testing out all the lighting when my good friend, AQ came first. While waiting for the others, I was just playing around with the camera and catching up. So the rest came around 3.45 and they got ready with their equipment and got dressed.

We were at the study room, excuse the harp. Spot my boyfie? :)

We proceeded to the back of my house where the shooting location was.

After a while, the rain totally overwhelmed us. And most shots were taken under the rain. Yes you heard me, under the RAIN.

The models were soaked wet while I was under the umbrella! Hey, my camera couldn't get wet :(

The ladder was used for high angle shots which Nick took. I haven't edited most of the photos yet.

They're massive! And I still have the incoming batch which I promise I will upload tomorrow. Today I feel like doing more of the behind the scenes.

After that, we had Claypot chicken rice and yes, I don't have the pictures. In the end, I took some pictures for Ronald and everyone went home. I spent the night editing them instead muahaha. I promise to update the war gallery. In the meantime, another behind the scene shoot coming right up tomorrow! :)

Updates!

So far I've done my last photoshoot today and it was the shortest one lol. Mainly because it was a simple theme and perhaps the models were kind of rushing back home so it can't be helped. I was quite pleased with this. Well I'm still the process of post production. I might be taking a break from photoshoots. I'll be regularly updating this site with miscellaneous shots and all. I'm kind of having a moody day considering I missed out a lot of fun today and I feel kind of bad. But well life goes on and I will apologize to my lecturer. It's very irresponsible of me. I mixed up the dates and everything is in a mess.

I guess photography took that all away until I came home with a bashing news. But I don't blame anyone for this. I guess we all had to take some responsibility to remind each other and also to look at dates properly next time. No more miscommunication.

Good news though, I got my new camera recently and the recent shots I took were with my Canon 600D. I'm absolutely happy with the outcome. I'm still keeping my 450D for my daily college uses. I have a notion to bring my camera every single day hahah! But well maybe depending on the dates.

My new timetable is hectic. I am loving the subjects. My subjects are so awesome. Forever happy! And I'll be posting Behind the Scenes as well. The first Behind the Scenes will be for the War Theme. So make sure you look forward to it! :)

In two months, I have achieved 5 photoshoots :O Some kind of weirdo huh! My next photoshoot won't be anytime round May since I'm gonna take a break. I'm gonna wait until end of June or the beginning of July. I already have in mind of what to shoot and guess what! I'm finally gonna build my own studio! Well it's gonna be amateurish since I'm using mostly recycled items but better than nothing right?

Well I'm pretty much bummed out but I can't do anything about it. Probably gonna sleep it off and wish this was all a bad dream. I'll update the pictures later!

And a big shoutout to the people who liked my page and photography work! I'll be sure to improve :D

Project 3: Sonata Horror

Finally another update! I'm so sorry, I haven't even finish editing the last batch and I already have new ones. This is saddening. I am yet to edit a lot of pictures and upload them! So anyways, I decided to take on a new kind of genre, horror. I know it doesn't look horrofic, a little bit solemn, whimsical but it's kindda scary for some strange reason :/ The whole theme was about the temptation. A horrofic temptation can lead to nightmares and unreachable desires. And in the end, they become nothing but lost souls. How scary. Ah, my mind is fucked completely. Just enjoy the pictures :D

Travellogy: Fun in KL!

Yes just so you know I'm still updating my Project 2 gallery cause it's a lot of pictures! So be patient yeah! Meanwhile, I'm gonna talk about my trip to Petaling Street today! It's my third time there and it's fantastic! I love walking around the big street with my camera and a partner in crime to shop and well get our materials for the shoot and her personal stuffs.

We walked around many shops to get our stuffs for my next upcoming photoshoot :) And I managed to grab a few stuffs! I got a colourful jumpsuirt, more Raybans :D, flowers and so on so forth :D

My next photoshoot will be tomorrow so be prepared guys!

It was pretty eventful! Bonding time and all! So the pictures explains it all! :D

I made a collage instead cause it's just too pretty :D

Good trip! Now I need to plan my shoot now. See you guys!

Project 2: The Possibilities of Tragedy

This is my second project that I've been working on. It's about war this time. And I initially had ideas in mind about this shoot but it wasn't as satisfying. It could have been better maybe because I should have instructed more or such but oh well what is done is done. Some shots were pretty interesting while some were just staic and elaborated. More or less, it was pretty productive. I had a special hand because I couldn't have done it without him. Thanks Nicholas Lee Ning for being my second photographer.

And I have great news at the end of the previews! Because it's gonna be awesome.

Ps: The theme was actually a collaboration between Michael Huang and me. Though I was a bit upset I couldn't really relive most of the stuffs here due to the lack of man power, I'm glad he was able to morally support me from the beginning. And, I have another great news. My third photoshoot is coming up and it's on this Thursday and another one on Saturday! BUSY BUSY BUSY :)

Most of the pictures are taken by my friend and I. Some are his and some are mine. I'll be sure to put a watermark for his work. The ones without the watermark are mine :)

Due to unforseen circumstances, my photoshoot date due this Saturday has been pushed back to May 3rd. I know, it's kind of like unforseen but I'm so sorry. The post production will be delayed as well. But still I'll have mini projects which I'll be doing along the way so stay tuned alright!

I'm also planning to do another mini project with my girlies. But that will have to wait. Cause it's a tight schedule and I seriously do not have all the time in the world. Gahness but I will try and work things out kay! Till then, toodle loo!

Hello guys! Recently I got my 50mm lens and I tried it out on my friend, Sue Lyn (I KNOW YOU'RE GETTING BORED OF HER BUT I DON'T CARE SHE'S GORGEOUS.) The results were, appalling. Sadly. But I'll do better. Now I read up about it I'll be much better than before but for now here are some good shots that I thought was okay.

Hello people! Another non picture post. LOL. I'm still in the midst of editing all my pictures and trust me, there are A LOT OF PICTURES. Editing one by one is a pain and besides I don't have Lightroom so I can't edit all at once :'( Boohoo but good news! :) I have finally sorted out the themes I'm going to do for my upcoming next photoshoot! It's going to be huge cause I'll be involving lots of people in this shoot. But for now, I'm gonna try and plan out the shoot first.

In the mean time I'll be posting more extra miscellaneous works which I find it oh so memorable. So till then!

Behind the Scenes: Fun in the Sun

So to start off the day! I went over to my friend's place around 4 plus and while waiting for the other to come we had our lookbook photoshoot session. We started shooting around 4-5 plus? It was pretty funny cause the so called 'desert' was around the housing area so it was pretty hard to shoot but nonetheless, I had so much fun. And of course a picture speaks a thousand words and we have..well a bunch of them :D

Hey guys! Well as you can see, I'm already starting to work on my next photoshoot and I promise you it will be bigger and bolder and better and of course, smexier. So just a little FAQS about me. Those who would love to collaborate with me, please drop me an email at narugasawa@gmail.com because I love collabs! Under a few conditions though.

I do not I REPEAT I do not, do heavy photoshopping. Meaning I don't do liquifying people's faces and eyes to make it look more slim or changing eye colours. You wanna change eye colours, get eye colour contacts, don't ask me to do photoshopping. I believe in authenicity. Whether you're fat or thin or an alien it doesn't matter. I like originality. I like natural beauty that comes from within and I do not think there is a need for such photoshopping. It shouldn't matter because I don't care about these stuffs. What I do care more is the meaning behind every shot I take and every shot you pose for me.
I like full commitment. If we're gonna collab together we really need to work it out together. And if you like a different kind of theme, discuss with me. Which means dropping an email and of course meeting me if possible. If we're gonna travel somewhere far to do it, please be committed enough to do so. I don't wanna end up in a place far away from my homeland and then you end up not showing up. I'll turn into an angry bird.
Have fun :D I don't like frowny faces, I love working together in harmony and you know have fun! No fights or any weird cat fights. Just simple and happy photoshooting.

Project 1: Fun in the Sun

My concept for this was more of a simpler approach. Two people having fun in the sun and how even as we grow older each day, there's always a bit of youth in us that tells us that we're never too old to have fun. Two cameras were used in the process: Canon 450 D and Canon 60 D. I believe that cameras do not matter, whether it's old or new. I love antique cameras. You don't get 450 D anymore in the market and it's still my favourite DSLR camera.

The models are my two most wonderful college friends, Sue Lyn and Amanda. They're both bloggers and amazing people.
